I was speaking with a highly successful founder recently—someone who commands boardrooms and changes industries.

We were reviewing his visual presence, and he made a confession that I hear from almost every expert I work with.

"I do cool things. I pitch investors. I lead strategy sessions. I work with amazing teams. But I never take pictures. I'm so focused on the work that I just forget."

He felt guilty about it. He felt like he was failing at "marketing."

But I told him what I'm telling you:

While it may seem trite, these posts generate a ton of interest from my audience and allow them to feel like they are part of my journey.

While this specific photo isn't going to make or break my business, personal shares like this add to the connective tissue between myself and those I serve. And since I'm in the business of building relationships, posts like this compound that connection over time.
