In this day and age, with many speakers, trainers and other expert-based business owners migrating to social media, the need for a purposeful mix of virtual and in-person portraits and event material has never been stronger.

It’s important to show your audience what the experience of working with you looks like. It’s not only important, but it’s essential.

Your audience wants to be able to visualize how they are going to receive your specialized help with whatever is holding them back.

This visualizing process helps nurture them and move them from a casual observer of your work, to someone who is seriously considering signing on the dotted line.

This is why many of my lifestyle portrait clients have also hired me to capture photos of their virtual meetings, webinars, masterminds, intensives and podcasts.

Recently, I was pleasantly surprised to see how one organization that I serve took this to heart and created an amazing promotional video to encourage recruitment of new members.

During a virtual meeting for the NYC Chapter of the National Speakers Association, one of the guests on the program was a musical act, Songdivision. The lead singer created a customized song on-the-fly with lyrics that referenced the various speakers presentations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, they played the song, which was quite a hit among the audience.

In between meetings, Songdivision created a final mix of the song and presented it to the Chapter, and the board decided to create a video to use for promotional purposes. Of course, the next step was figuring out what to use for the visuals…

Enter virtual and live event photos, :)

Now, I had no idea they were doing this but when I saw the final cut presented to the Chapter, I was blown away. It was the first time I had seen virtual photos and in-person shots put together in a video montage.

They really played nice together - just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, :)

Fortunately, I’ve captured thousands and thousands of photos over the years so that they didn’t run out of material to cover the song!

I felt like a proud poppa watching this video play!

And, it reinforced the value of capturing compelling photos of speakers sharing their expertise with those they serve - whether it’s in a room, on a stage or on a screen.

My hope is that this video inspires local speakers and trainers see the magic that happens within the NSA NYC and compels them to sign up for membership.

My other hope is geared towards you.

I hope that by seeing this video, you take a moment to consider your own image content portfolio and determine whether or not it’s time to update it with either new in person photos or virtual ones so that you can put your best foot forward when looking to book new speaking opportunities or attract new clients.

If you are interested in seeing how I can help you with that, schedule a call with me to see if we’re a fit to work together.
