Visual Authority Insights

John DeMato shares insights on Visual Authority, perception, and the hidden friction that shapes expert evaluation before the conversation begins. These articles help speakers, authors, consultants, founders, and public-facing leaders understand how visual signal influences trust, positioning, and decision velocity.

What's in it for me?

While making money is a priority for expert business owners…

…stressing that need to those you serve isn’t going to make that happen.

As a young business owner, I had a horrible poker face.

Throughout every stage of the conversation, the level of desperation I had in terms of converting them from an interested prospect into a paying client was written all over my face and every syllable I spoke.

Ugh, I know.

But when you don’t understand how to effectively communicate your value by making it about those you serve, then that’s what happens.

In the following clip, my colleague, Ron Karr talks with speaker, author and chief Go-Giver, Bob Burg, about the importance for business owners to share how their products and services will leave them better off in the end.
