It helps lay out your why in a way for other people to easily grasp.

For the past couple years, I’ve been bitching and moaning about how burned out I am about incorporating video into my marketing strategy.

This sentiment is due in no small part to the years working in the meat grinder known as television production.

Having said that, I still understand the value and impact that video affords us as business owners marketing our brands and services. People consume content in a different way than they did 20, even 10 years ago, and it’s going to constantly evolve over time.

And, video will become more and more important throughout that evolution.

With that in mind, I recently was offered a golden opportunity to upgrade a significant video element that currently lives on my website - my About Me video.

I was introduced to producer/filmmaker and overall video magician, Jude Charles, through a mutual connection, and, after a quick chat, I knew this dude knew his stuff.

And then I actually saw his reel and was very impressed.

We decided to create some magic for each other - he produced and edited the About Me video, and I shot a headshot and captured a talk he recently held in Brooklyn.

You mean I don’t need to shoot, write a script and edit - I just need to talk???? - shit, I couldn't be more in! :)

After seeing the final product, I couldn’t be more happy with how Jude shaped and molded my story into a piece that truly encapsulates who I am, who I serve and why I do what I do.

The video that it replaced was over 2 years old and outdated, so, the refresh was not only a major upgrade, but, it also was much needed.
