Get yourself some magical testimonials.

Recently, I worked with a podcast host who is leveraging his interview skills to create a wonderful product around testimonials.

Now, I’ve been a huge proponent of testimonials for a long time.

Once upon a time, I used to produce and shoot video testimonials for clients before I ditched the video camera and focused on portraits full-time.

Testimonials come in all shapes and sizes - written, video, audio-only - and are wonderful assets for you to leverage when looking to create a connection and trust with those you serve.

But, many of the testimonials that I come in contact with online are simply blab sessions about how amazing the person is and how wonderful s/he is to work with.

That’s not enough, folks.

Creating a valuable testimonial that validates your effort and shares that customer’s journey from stuck to soaring (sounds like I’m selling something right now, but I’m not, I swear, lol) is not rocket science, but there is something to it.

In a recent article I wrote for the C-Suite Network, I talk about the importance of creating questions prior to requesting a testimonial from one of your clients in order to have them tell the story you want potential clients to read.

You can check out the article here.

PS - For those of you who aren’t in the know, I mail out these blogs 3x a week, and lemme tell you, they’re a real party, so, if you’d like to get in on this, sign up for it here and I’ll throw in a free gift for you, because I care, :)
