…when a client says this to me, I feel magical inside, :)

Sometimes, it takes someone to inspire the best out of us.

That motivation can manifest itself in several ways, whether it’s presented through empathy, compassion or just some good ol’ fashioned cheerleading from the sidelines.

When I’m behind the camera, working with a client, I generally opt for something else…

…and that something else usually involves a healthy serving of shit talking with a side of tough love.

Charming, I know, :)

Regardless of my motivational tactics’ shape and form, my goal is to always present my clients in the most natural way possible, and that requires me to loosen them up by getting them out of their heads and into the present moment.

That certainly was the case for my client, Pia Silva - my first ever branded lifestyle portrait client, :)

In addition to talking about how much I like to bust her chops when she fake smiles in front of the camera, we also talked about a couple other topics during a recent conversation:

  • Why she needed portraits in the first place?

  • The value of having a wide variety of emotion present in her image content library.

  • Why she chose the image for her bookcover.

  • Her overall experience working with me behind the camera.

You can hear the entire conversation by clicking on the video:

Pia and John sit down to talk about her branded lifestyle portrait session, including her experience, apprehensions before the session and how she is leveraging her image content.

After watching this video, did any questions about your own image content library pop up?

If so, let’s talk about it.
